Moral Dream Team

If you've ever been to Vegas or Reno, or any other gambling casino, and stayed overnight, then you know the look. Those people you saw smiling, laughing, and inebriated, the day before, now share that same distant, forlorn, pitiful look that is exhibited on your face.

It's that look of being beat down, recovering from a hangover, and the stark realization that you've lost more money than planned. It's a look of resignation, but, since you have more time left before your trip is over, you attempt to change your luck, only to find yourself in a deeper hole. Sometimes you're successful, more often than not, you're unsuccessful.

This is the collective look we're starting to see on the faces of Americans; that resigned look of despair and frustration. The major difference between the casino and reality is that this is not a game. Unfortunately, this has become the harsh reality of life, as we watch the United States swiftly transition to a Banana Republic. Wikipedia defines Banana Republic as:

"A political science term for a politically unstable country, whose economy is largely dependent on exporting a limited-resource product. It typically has stratified social classes, including a large, impoverished working class and a ruling plutocracy of business, political, and military elites. This politico-economic oligarchy controls the primary-sector productions to exploit the country's economy."

Signs of a Banana Republic:

  • Rising Income Inequality and Shrinking Middle Class.

  • Unchecked police corruption and an expanding Police State.

  • Highest incarceration rate in the world.

  • Corrupt alliance of big business and big government

  • High Unemployment.

  • Inadequate Access to Healthcare.

  • Decrease in Life Expectancy.

  • Increased Poverty, Hunger, and Malnutrition.

Our planet is in trouble, so how do we stop the devastating effects of a rogue society? How do we usurp the power from the "men behind the curtain?"

What we need in the 21st century (and we need it like, yesterday), because we are in major trouble; in dire straights as a nation and as a global community, we need a "Moral Dream Team." A team that combines erudite, courageous individuals such as: Nelson Mandela, Dr. Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Gandhi, and the stabilizing, angelic love force of a Mother Teresa.

As it turns out, the "Blessed Teresa of Calcutta" was more of a pawn for the Roman Catholic Church and the Vatican. Toward the end of her life, she would question her own faith, realizing that the majority of the billions of dollars donated on her behalf were not going to its intended purpose (see the book, "Mother Teresa: Come Be My Light").

The book is based on letters Mother Teresa wrote to associates and confidants. She actually questioned her pious beliefs and whether or not Jesus existed (she was definitely not alone in that regard, but that's another article for another day). However, like King and Gandhi, this does not diminish her magnanimous, philanthropic efforts and her ability to spread love during her sojourn on this planet. Mandela and Malcolm, would be the Johnnie Cochran and F. Lee Bailey of this Moral Dream Team; the moralistic muscle, if you will, because of their more dogmatic, straightforward approaches and rhetoric toward freedom, democracy, and equality.

We need individuals who are not motivated by greed but base their actions on their love of humanity, coupled with knowledge, fearlessness, organizing skills, and the ability to speak fluently (to thoroughly get any point across). This team has to be able to bring billions of people together, on one accord. If this does not happen, in a relatively short time, our current actions have us headed for terrestrial annihilation that will lead to the extinction of the human species.

It's the avaricious few who seem hell-bent on controlling, not only the money supply, but every aspect of our lives. The International Banking Cartels, Council on Foreign Relations, Federal Reserve, Central Banks, and War, spearheaded and controlled by the "Ruling Elite," will lead to the implosion of modern civilization.

Our nation and financial ecosystem, are in a state of erosion, primarily because of the greed and manipulation of a few plutocrats. They could care less about the consequences of their extremely self-destructive actions. To say that these people are sociopathic narcissist would be a grave understatement.

We must put aside our racial, political, and religious differences and stand firm as one. If we do not, the astute aphorism of Albert Einstein will without a doubt, come to pass:

"I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.
~ Sri Chinmoy Ghose

"The old appeals to racial, sexual, and religious chauvinism, to rabid nationalist fervor, are beginning not to work. A new consciousness is developing that sees the Earth as a single organism and recognizes that an organism at war with itself, is doomed."
~ Carl Sagan
